Capt. Bill Jemison sails the Savannah Ray out of several ports along the NJ Shore--the Shark River Inlet area (Neptune, Belmar, Avon, Bradley Beach, NJ) to optimize deep sea fishing catches. Whether chunking or live lining fresh bunker, the Savannah Ray has a reputation for scoring large striped bass. Later on in the season, during the early part of July, we continue to target striped bass as well as bluefish, weakfish, sea bass, blackfish and fluke.
The Savannah Ray, of Belmar, NJ, is a 2004 25' Steiger Craft fishing boat that has a huge cockpit and is powered with twin 135 HP Honda 4-stroke engines for a fast and quiet ride. The boat is equipped with full electronics including fish finder, GPS chart plotter, VHF, radar, and Sirius radio.
New Jersey has the better fishing than New York Waters because of recent fishing regulations in NY. NJ's size limits for fluke are smaller than NY's. Our fishing season for fluke is longer than NY's and we can boat limit more than you can in NY waters. Don’t waste your time with New York fishing charters!
